EKOTEK has developed this technology in response to the need in the electrical and electronic equipment manufacturing sector for a tool able to manage the life cycle of their products, obtaining a computerised logistics tool to help them satisfy legal requirements and achieve an efficient management of the waste that remains at the end of the operating life. This tool will also provide the applications and services required to administer their production systems and to manage their products from an eco-design perspective..
The tool that has been developed is an open system that integrates all agents involved in the life cycle of electrical and electronic equipment, from the design stage on through the manufacture and marketing of the products and on to their conversion into waste and the subsequent management of this at the end of their operating life. All data can be processed in a multiple-access sectorial tool, with applications and contents suitable for use in the electrical and electronic equipment sector.
