EKOTEK has carried out these studies for the Steel sector in order to determine the best alternative, from technical and economic viewpoints, for the re-use of slag, both white and black. To do this, the characteristics of the different types of slag and of the steel works were studied, and we carried out a market study involving the most important actors in this sector in order to establish the best way to use these materials: re-use in cement factories, applications in building work and road works, etc.
A complete study has been completed that analyses and evaluates the best ways, economically and technically, to re-use the waste produced by the Steel Industry.
